I spoke with Nigel earlier this week about a Legacy Plan. Nigel is 60 year old retiree from Cal Trans and is currently working on his PhD at Berkeley. Nigel and his wife have recently paid $1500 for a trust and living. He thinks that the lawyer was charging him a premium for stocked information but had no choice because he knew how important it is to have a plan in place. He also mentioned that it is difficult to find important information such as passwords so a service in the are would be great..
At the end of our interview, I tried to pull a Steve Blank maneuver but was unsuccessful. For those who are unfamiliar with Steve’s method, it goes a little like this: “if you want to test customer interest, ask them to pull out their wallet and give you 20 bucks”.
Although Nigel liked the website and our concept, he is not an evangelist/innovator. He would not use the service until a friend or a family member tries it first.
